去る11月2５日に当教会でK.I兄の告別式が執り行われました。
K兄は教会の礼拝に来られたことはありませんでした。奥様がクリスチャンで、教会のトイレや屋根の工事をしてくださったことのある工務店の社長さんです。
癌を発端に様々な病状が悪化し、痛みに大変苦しまれました。その様な中、召される数日前に奥様の導きでイエス・キリストを信じることを告白なさいました。それでは日曜礼拝の後で病床洗礼をしましょう。ということになりましたが、日曜礼拝の途中に「今、召天しました」との連絡が入りました。
今までの苦しみが信じられないほど、眠るように安らかに神様の御元に帰られたとのことでした。驚きましたが、救いに導いてくださった神さまの配慮と愛を、教会一同で感謝致しました。
告別式は厳粛で、天国への希望に溢れたものになりました。
ご遺族の皆様に主からの豊かな慰めがありますようにお祈りします。

The farewell ceremony for Brother K.I. was held at our church on November 25.
Brother K. had never been to our church service before. His wife was a Christian, and he was the president of a construction company that had built the church’s toilets and roof.
His various medical conditions worsened due to cancer, and he suffered a lot of pain. A few days before his death, his wife led him to confess his faith in Jesus Christ. So, let’s have a baptism in his sickbed after the Sunday service. But in the middle of the Sunday service, we received a call that he had just been called to heaven.
It was hard to believe that he had suffered so much, but he had returned to God’s presence peacefully as if asleep. We were surprised, but the whole church was grateful for God’s care and love that led us to salvation.
The farewell ceremony was solemn and full of hope for heaven.
We pray that the bereaved family will receive abundant comfort from the Lord.
